WORKSHOP NEWS

IMPROVE YOUR DANCING  - BEGINNER TO INTERMEDIATE DAY 

SUNDAY, 18 MAY
The day consists of three, two hour workshops and is designed to get you freestyling. 
11.30 - Beginner - 2 hours slow and gentle pace to consolidate what you have learned in the beginner class.
2.00 - Beginner Plus - 2 hours to make the transition from beginner to intermediate. 
4.30 - Intermediate - 2 hours at a faster pace to give you a greater variety of moves.

You can book for one, two or all three workshops. 
Single workshop £15, additional workshops £10 each. 
Booking is essential.

LEEDS - Wicked Wednesdays
Ceroc in Leeds is introducing monthly Wicked Wednesdays where more established dancers get a chance to be challenged - Beginner class as usual, a classic intermediate move for everyone but more advanced moves for those who are ready for the Challenge - and the first one is on Wednesday 30 April.

SALTAIRE - DAY OF DANCE - Charity fund raising event
Saturday 10 May - Saltaire - Day of dance workshops suitable for everyone to join in and have fun.  Try workshops from Belly Dancing & Salsa to Lancashire Clog, Tango, Ceroc, Samba, Breton and Rock 'n'Roll.  Taster workshops run from 9.00 in the morning to 6.30 in the evening when there are a variety of evening dances including a Celdidh, Salsa party and an afro-cuban/brazilian carnival.  Great fun.  For information please contact the organisers - www.dayofdance.co.uk  - Louise 01484 664265 - Denise 01274 730795 - denise@yorkshirecnd.org.uk

LEEDS - BLUES, SMOOTH & LATIN
Sunday 11 May, sees the start of a Ceroc class with a difference in Leeds.  If you love dancing to those smooth & blues tracks the DJ's play then this is the place to be.  The beginner class will be a Beginner Blues lesson, followed by an Interemediate class that will teach elements of Blues, Smooth and Latin.  Music from Ella Fitzgerald, B B King, Madeleine Peyroux, Eva Cassidy, Michael Buble, Frank Sinatra, Santana, Gotan Project - in fact all the usual suspects plus many, many more.  If you want high energy, you won't find it here, but DJ Chris has a great collection to draw from - challenge him for an artist he doesn't have!  Classes will be once or twice a month depending on other events, but you will also have a chance to practice on Wednesdays as the last half hour from 10.30 to 11.00 will be devoted to the smoother side of life.

YORK - advance news of cancelled lesson
Ceroc York is closed for two weeks in May while the floor is being repolished.  Thanks to all the regulars who have put up with a poor floor for some time now.  York closed on Thursdays 15th and 22nd May - back to normal Thursday 29th May - Other venues not affected.
