A typical Ceroc dance / freestyle night

The night
A freestyle dance night usually starts at 8.00 and continues through to midnight. The night is one of continuous music, dancing and socialising. A great opportunity to practice what you have learned in your classes.  If you have been to a class and experienced the final hour of freestyle then you already know what a dance is like.  The normal 'rules' of Ceroc apply - 1) You don't need to come with a partner, 2) you can ask anyone to dance and they will only say no if they are completely danced out (not something that happens very often) and 3) people of all levels come and have a great time.

Location
Location most for dances in 2008 is the Ritz Ballroom in Brighouse, West Yorkshire and Dance-Ceroc fresstyles will occur on the 2nd Friday of every month (usually) and the third Saturday.

Dress
Dress can be whatever you like. Some people do take the oportunity to 'dress' for the night, others just come as they would for a normal class night. It's up to you, the main thing is to dress for dancing - because that's what you will be doing a lot of.

Themes
Over the years we have discovered that Cerocer's like to dress up in relatively ridiculous costumes so every now and then we have a theme. These have included; The Time Travellers Ball; The Beach Boys go Caribbean; Stars in Your Eyes; The Pink Dance; Red, White and Blue and The Titanic - what were you wearing when the ship went down?

Charity events
We usually run one or two charity dance nights during the year. Recently we have supported Guide Dogs for the Blind and various heart and cancer charities as well as Red Nose days.
